Surya Bhagwaan

Surya in Sanskrit means sun. He is the solar deity for Hindus and is one of the nine heavenly houses in the zodiac system of Hindu astrology. He has been carved in a single stone riding his seven horses that represent the seven colours and also the seven days of the week. This life-like appeal of the idol is credited to the Makrana marble that has been used which is known for its outstanding hues of translucency. The gold enamelling highlights the features of the idol.
